Middle school and Confirmation

Middle school and confirmation: grades 6-8

ff WritingHandBible 1Confirmation Ministry at Bethlehem Lutheran Church is a three year ministry program for youth in grades 6, 7 and 8. Over the three years, they will study the Ten Commandments, the Apostle's Creed, the Lord's Prayer, the Old and New Testaments of scripture and cover topics relevant to living a life of faith in current times. Students meet on Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings throughout the school year. Additionally, each Confirmation Student is assigned an adult Mentor who walks alongside them for the entire three year period. The Rite of Affirmation of Baptism is traditionally celebrated in worship at the end of the 8th grade year for those who wish to affirm their faith. Contact Deaconess Kristen (faithformation@bethlehem-lutheran.net) with any questions.

Middle and High School Ministry Update

Youth News

Hi middle and high school youth (those entering 6th through 12th grades). I look forward to getting to know you and seeing how Bethlehem can help you in daily life and in faith! While this summer is different than originally planned, I hope to get a couple of events happening this month. Seems like regulations are shifting around a lot, so the most up to date information will be via email—events, dates, things to keep in mind for safety, and so on. I try not to send many emails—maybe every other week or specifically when there is an event coming up. If you do not receive the youth emails yet or they get lost in your inbox, please feel free to email me or text me on my cell (or call too, but texting works better for me than phone calls)—Deaconess Ann (faithformation@bethlehem-lutheran.net, 720-301-0104).

Sky Ranch Lutheran Camp Update

The Sky Ranch Board of Directors recently suspended all summer programs for 2020 and the site will be closed through at least August 7. Despite the circumstances, ministry continues to happen at Sky Ranch through the remote training of leaders and creation of virtual resources for campers. Visit https://tinyurl.com/skyranchupdate to read the full letter from Brad Abbott, executive director of Sky Ranch Lutheran Camp.

We are partners in ministry with Sky Ranch and plan to use their resources for this year's Virtual Bible School (VBS). Without campers, finances will be tight to say the least, and this ministry helps shape so many for serving the Lord. If you are so moved and/or able, financial donations would help this ministry. To make a direct donation to Sky Ranch, use this link: https://www.skyranchcolorado.org/donate-today.

For those who have already registered and paid for programs at Sky Ranch, Deaconess Kristen should have already spoken with you about your options. For more information or questions, contact Deaconess Ann (faithformation@bethlehem-lutheran.net) or Deaconess Kristen (kristen@bethlehem-lutheran.net).
