Prekindergarten - grade 5

Faith Formation for prekindergartners through grade

Upcoming Events:

Eat for Education

Please join us on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 4:00–10:00 p.m. at Mike O’Shays (512 Main Street, Longmont) for a fun restaurant night fundraiser. We are raising money for the Bethlehem Lutheran Education fund, which is used for special activities like the Rally Day Picnic and to help with some of the costs of Summer Day Camp! Mike O’Shays will be donating 25% of the cost of your meal to BLC.

If you plan to attend, we need to RSVP so that the restaurant can plan their staffing. If you are indeed planning on being there on the 7th, please go to https://www.groupraise.com/events/96088 and RSVP. We need to do this by May 4 so our event does not get cancelled! Or, if you prefer, please RSVP to Deaconess Kristen and she will RSVP on your behalf! Thank you for your support!

Thank You Sunday School Teachers!

Our Sunday school teachers are at the core of our faith formation efforts! If you see one of them in the halls of BLC, please be sure to thank for them for their time, energy, and passion for passing on the faith! This year’s teachers are: Mary Boyer, Brenda Torrez, Trudi Boaz, Matt James, Laura Hoime, Melissa Lauzon, Sue Smith, Marisa Carlson, Brian Carlson, Sarah Loberg, Bob Lee, and Deaconess Kristen.

SHINE! BLC Summer Day Camp 2019

SHINE! Isaiah 9:2 says “The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who lived in a land of deep darkness on them light has shined.” God’s light shines on us and all creation. God’s light gives light to the world and works for justice. Through Christ, the light of God gives hope to the world. And because of God’s call for hope, and justice, we can celebrate and embrace the diversity of this world. Even though the world is often filled with pain and suffering, God calls us to shine God’s light in our lives! Register now! We will be hosting another Day Camp with the partnership of Sky Ranch Lutheran Camp on July 8–12 for ages preschool through entering 5th grade. The daily schedule for campers entering grades 1–5 will be Monday, July 8th – Thursday, July 11 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. On Friday, July 12th, the program will run from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. The daily schedule for campers age 3 – entering Kindergarten will be Monday, July 8–Thursday, July 11 from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. We will close Thursday evening with a potluck from 6:00 p.m.–7:00p.m. During this time, the campers will present a short program with highlights from their week. Click here to register.

Past Events:

Holy Communion Class

We have an open communion practice at Bethlehem. We say "all are welcome" to God's table of grace. That means children are welcome. Each year we offer a communion class for our second graders to help in their understanding of this gift. This class is for parents and children. For more information, contact Deaconess Kristen.

Communion Class

Every fall, we invite our second and third graders to learn more about this precious gift of Holy Communion. We also have fun, stomping grapes and we get creative as they make their own communion chalices. This class is for the kids and their parents to share together. For those who are interested, we will also do acolyte training.
