Get Ready to Rally!

Rally Day is almost here, and we hope you’ll all plan to be a part of this fun tradition at BLC. This year we’ll be revealing the results of the congregational survey we completed a couple of months ago when we asked everyone to vote on their favorite Old Testament Bible story. The winning story will be our theme for Rally Day. Can you guess what it might be? Make a guess and come see if it’s correct on Sunday, September 9. The festivities begin when Sunday School kicks off immediately following the first service, but the party will continue after the second service with a congregation–wide lunch. The education committee will provide hamburgers, hot dogs, and buns. We are asking that you bring a side dish or dessert to share. Please sign up in the narthex so we have an accurate idea of how much food to purchase. There will be food, fun, and fellowship for all ages!

Sunday School Registration Now Open!

Make sure you register your preschool–fifth grade studentsto be a part of our Sunday School Program for the 2018/19 school year.

We’re really switching things up in Sunday School this year and can’t wait to embark on our journey into the rich stories of the Old Testament. There are quite a few changes this year. Instead of meeting in the sanctuary, we are all asking all students in preschool–fifth grade to meet in the southwest corner classroom (formerly the second and third grade room). We are also asking all families to complete a Sunday School registration form so that we have accurate safety information on file.  Please contact Jamie Jurkovich ( with any questions. Looking forward to welcoming back all our sweet children for an exciting year ahead!

Sunday School Needs You

While September seems a way off, it tends to sneak up that means it’s time to begin working on our Fall programming. If you’d like to build relationships with some of our young members, please consider being a Sunday School teacher for the 2018/19 school year. We’re trying some fun, new things this year and the teaching schedule can be flexible to accommodate your schedule. Supporting faith development in our children is a big reward. We’re so thankful to the individuals who give their time to this effort. To learn more, contact Jamie Jurkovich (

Past Events:

Holy Communion Class

We have an open communion practice at Bethlehem. We say "all are welcome" to God's table of grace. That means children are welcome. Each year we offer a communion class for our second graders to help in their understanding of this gift. This class is for parents and children. For more information, contact Deaconess Kristen.

Communion Class Fall 2017

Every fall, we invite our second and third graders to learn more about this precious gift of Holy Communion. We also have fun, stomping grapes and we get creative as they make their own communion chalices. This class is for the kids and their parents to share together. For those who are interested, we will also do acolyte training.
