2025 Lenten Soup Suppers
Our Lenten tradition at Bethlehem is to enjoy soup and bread fellowship on Wednesdays before midweek Lent services. The neighborhood groups take turns providing the soups, relishes, and desserts. The Evangelism Committee provides the bread. The assignments are the following (sorry, Purple, you serve twice, but you will serve less at the summer coffees). We do keep a record and try our best to share the burden.
- March 12: Gold and Purple
- March 19: Orange and Teal
- March 26: Pink and Red
- April 2: Purple and Light of Christ
- April 9: Chili Cook Off – Anyone who wants to make their best pot of chili and maybe win the Bethlehem Trophy!!!
Pull out the crockpot or soup kettle and share your favorite soup with your fellow members. Your fellowship shepherds will be contacting you prior to your group’s week.
Also, please bring your own soup bowl, utensils, cups, etc. This saves lots of time for the serving neighborhood groups and allows them to worship with all of us.
